Over the years, I’ve produced annual reports for clients such as the Jacksonville Urban League, Scott-McRae Group and Hubbard House. Each project presented a unique opportunity to learn about these organizations in depth and create a snap shot of how each played a roll in the community. Because the nature of an annual report is very intimate, details matter. I devoted time researching each client, often unearthing new details during the design process. More than once, I used this information to change the look and feel to create a more compelling piece, while ensuring the project did not go over budget. An annual report should always be more than an annual review, it needs to convey the passion of that company, and stand as a piece of which its stockholders can be proud.
